RSS feed for What I'm Reading

Thanks in part to the handy RSS.NET library, I now have an RSS feed for books I'm reading. The link to the feed is here and it can also be seen on the right side of my homepage. Now I just need to get some book reviews written...

CopyUnique

I just released a little utility I wrote called CopyUnique that will copy all the files in a directory tree using sequentially numbered filenames. Ok, but why would someone want to do this? Well, I primarily use it to number all the ripped audio tracks from a set of audio book CDs. CopyUnique fixes up the filenames so they can be burned to an MP3 CD and played sequentially on my car's MP3 player. CopyUnique could also be used to copy several directories worth of digital pictures into a sequentially numbered slideshow directory. A better description as well as a link to the download is on my web site's CopyUnique project page.

SeatGuru.com

If you're ever gotten stuck with an airline seat that doesn't recline, you'll appreciate SeatGuru.com. This handy site has a seating diagram for each plane flown by each airline complete with seat ratings and comments. SeatGuru's seating diagrams also include things like movie screens, power jacks, the galley, lavatory locations, and exit rows.

Just last night, my wife and I were booking her a flight to Los Angeles and SeatGuru's comments warned that the seat she had chosen had reduced seat width, no overhead bin storage, and could get cold due to air leaking in around the front door seal. Thanks to SeatGuru.com, she was able to avoid those five hours of misery!

Check it out next time you book a flight.
